Thanks to reccommendations from my readers, I present you Tokio Hotel:
Formed in 2001, this German rock band has quickly shot to fame, with four #1 singles and two #1 albums in Germany and have sold almost 3 million CDs and DVDs there!

> Georg Listing - bass
They met in 2001 after a concert in Magdenburg and started under the name 'Devilish' until Bill was discovered by Peter Hoffmann, a music producer (lucky he found them, they're brilliant!) They then changed their name to Tokio Hotel ('Tokio' being the German spelling of Tokyo, which they love and 'hotel' because they so frequently stayed in hotels).
The band has since won over 20 awards, including the MTV Europe Music Award for Inter Act in 2007, the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Award for best act also in 2007 and recently, in May this year, Italy's MTV TRL's Best Number 1 Single of the Year and Best Band award!
Listening to one of their latest singles, 'READY, SET, GO!', they have just the kind of uplifting yet deep and somewhat cynical lyrics that make me swoon:

If you're into new age rock, you'll be so glad you did! I personally, am loving the heavy guitar, the amazingly insightful yet fresh and young lyrics, and it also helps that this quartet are all pretty cute too!
