Blaqk Audio

Blaqk Audio. The name might sound somewhat familiar and that would be because this relatively young electronica duo is formed by none other than AFI's Davey Havok and Jade Puget, so you know that you're in for a music sensation. But Blaqk Audio's tunes are nothing like what you'd expect from AFI. From their revamped image:
to their first album CexCells - featuring sexy ladies' voices on tracks including 'Again, again and again' (wonder what keeps him coming back for more!?), loads of great dance songs, such as 'Stiff Kittens' and 'Snuff on Digital' and some pretty racy lyrics (from 'Where Would You Like Them Left?'):
Strip for me as I've stripped for you.
We've got nothing to hide and we've got less to lose.
Yet the songs still feature the poetic lyrics that we're all accustomed to, and slower, emotionally wretching songs such as my personal favourite 'Wake up, Open the Door, and Escape to the Sea'.We've got nothing to hide and we've got less to lose.
Jade has recently said of the track 'The Ligature' that:
I posted a new piece I did called the Ligature. I took a loop of Davey's vocals, chopped and processed them, and then created a kind of breakbeat track with it. An example of me nerding out with my computer. Enjoy!
This, as befitting to a modern electronica band, is part of modern music. This song cannot be found on CexCells, but is available for download on their myspace.take me to Blaqk Audio's myspace!
Happy listening
